Opened in 2002 by a local partnership with support from the Brecon Beacons National Park, the Welsh Red Kite Trust and various other notable wildlife organisations and individuals. Visitors may sit in the specially built hide
only feet away from diving birds and observe them competing naturally for the food provided by the feeding centre at regular times throughout the year.

During British Summer Time (BST) feeding is at 3.00pm and during other months (GMT) this is at 2.00pm. We are usually open throughout the year! If you have a big group you could email us or message via our Facebook Page
Wildlife Photographers regularly visit the Llanddeusant Red Kite Feeding Centre - but so can you!
The birds of Prey - Red Kites, Buzzards, Ravens and other birds are regular visitors and great subjects for any enthusiast, whatever their photographic skills!
You don't have to be a pro here and the birds come pretty close
but a fairly long lens and/or zoom would help !

Q: What's the situation regarding Covid-19? A: It changes depending on regulations. We adhere to Government guidelines and common sense. Social Distancing and other measures apply. Keep an eye on this web site of our Social Media pages for updates.
Q: Do I need to book? A: No not usually, unless it is a very big party and you are unsure in which case contact us beforehand. We welcome school groups etc.
Q: When are you open? A: Currently only closed Mon & Tue except Bank Holidays and school holidays. Please check our social media pages and here. Covid-19 restrictions apply as and when implemented.
Q: When do you feed the kites? A: 2pm GMT and 3pm BST ( see HERE for dates )

you feed the Red Kites in bad weather? A: Yes. The hides will keep you dry in the wet. No heating though !
Q: Do you have access for disabled persons? A: Yes. Ramps and wide access points in place

Q: Are dogs allowed? A: Yes - But please have them on a lead at all times (even well behaved dogs) as the centre is in a sheep farming
area. Do not leave dogs in cars or tied up.
